We are excited to announce a special edition of the ICC Prototype Development Fund program, the “PRGS-ICC for COVID-19″. The funding program is open to all researchers at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) who aspired to improve their invention or innovation for the purpose of addressing the COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia.

GRANT INFORMATION

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this program is to lead a fast-track production of inventions in conjunction with the outbreak of the COVID-19 in Malaysia. The output of each projects are expected to generate innovative research output that can be commercialized locally and internationally, as well as improvised to be more resilient in terms of design and innovation. Along with the main purposes, this program hoped to be a platform to ensure proper innovation management during the COVID-19 pandemic phases

ELIGIBILITY

The project should be led by a UTM staff, the main inventor of the IP.
The application must focus on a clear need of demonstrating both realistic and significant benefits for society or an industry that has been severely impacted and/or permanently disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Any applications that proposing more than offered funding value will be considered ineligible.
Applications can be submitted more than once, but only one will be approved.
The quota is limited to the top 10 applications and is open to all researchers, including those who have been awarded the regular PRGS-ICC fund; but only that similar ideas to the existing projects are not recommended to be applied.
Applicants must have the ability to deliver the project during the working restrictions of Covid-19 pandemic.
