KUALA LUMPUR, 11th of October 2016 – Jalinan Sekolah Kluster Kecemerlangan Dengan Universiti Awam (SKK-UA) is established to execute collaborative programs and activities to give benefits to the excellence of school. This collaboration really focuses on the basic concept of every public Universities being mentors to some selected schools.
Until 31st of May 2016, there are 413 SKK have been collaborated officially with all the public Universities. The impact of doing many collaborative programs and activities with SKK and UA has proven that this collaboration has given success to those schools and they should be an inspiration to other schools.
The ceremony was held on 11th of October 2016 and has been launched by Head Secretary of Ministry of Higher Education, Yg. Bhg. Tan Sri Dr. Noorul Ainur Mohd. Nur.
University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM) has been given responsibility to collaborate with 31 schools in Johor which include six Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan, 14 Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK), 11 Sekolah Menengah (SMK & SM) and also two schools in Kuala Lumpur (one Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan and one Sekolah Menengah).
University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM) nominated two schools which are Kolej Vokasional Perdagangan, Johor Bahru and SMPK Vokasional Indahpura Kulai.
A big congratulations to SMPK Vokasional Indahpura Kulai for winning the award of ANUGERAH KECEMERLANGAN JALINAN SEKOLAH KLUSTER KECEMERLANGAN (SKK) DENGAN UNIVERSITI AWAM (AKJ SKK-UA) 2016 in the category of INNOVATION AND PRODUCT COMMERSIALIZATION.
This is a collaboration of UTM through Institut Pembangunan Bioproduk (IBD-UTM) in creating products that are based on herbs. With this brilliant collaboration, SMPKVIP has successfully created their own a formula and oil products and herbs-based cream and virgin oil named MARIA CREAM MASSAGE and MARIA OIL MASSAGE. These products are used as main ingredients in reflexology treatment and aesthetic service which consists of their own herbs.
SMPK Vokasional Indahpura Kulai also has opened a REFLEXOLOGY EDU-TOURISM ONE STOP CENTRE, which provides many kind of treatments, beauty and wellness in a spa and has various kinds of facilities. The service provided are such as foot reflexology, manicure, pedicure, hair cut, sauna, body massage and many more.
