Nurturing Entrepreneurship in Johor
On 4 to 6th of October 2016, University of Technology, Malaysia has organized a program called Johor Entrepreneurship and Innovation Day (JEnID) 2016 which its theme is “Excellent Innovation Towards Sustainable Entrepreneurship”. It was held at Dewan Sultan Iskandar. The three days program is actually the combination of three main annual programs of UTM which are INATEX, UTMost and Hari Keusahawanan.
The program also involved Institusi Inovasi Strategik Johor (IISJ) where all of the Institutes of Higher Education (IPT) in Johor were invited to join the exhibition and competition of the program. The secretariat of IISJ also held exhibition of posters and prototype of Low Hanging fruit (LHF) project which consists of all districts in Johor state to ensure a balanced development of every district. Other than that, this JEnID 2016 program also encourage innovation and technology created by people from IPT and schools from all over Johor to be applied in this state, besides from helping to stimulate entrepreneurial culture within students, especially the ones who are from Johor.
In the opening ceremony of JEnID 2016, there was also a program of exchanging document of Surat Niat (LOI) with several IPTs from Johor with the intention of making a collaboration in technology and innovation for the state of Johor.
