UTM is deeply embedded in the industries that support its establishment and wellbeing. It mobilizes its knowledge, technology, facilities, skills and services assets so that they can better contribute advancement of the nation’s and region’s industry, public sectors as well as the society, In tandem with the Ministry of Education’s initiatives in promoting linkages and knowledge transfer, UTM has been forging new partnerships as well as enhancing and strengthening existing ones.

To promote an active and vibrant engagement that cut across industry, government, academia and society; UTM adopts a quadruple helix framework in shaping and steering its relations with these entities. To date, we have more than 1000 industry partners with more than 2000 programmes comprising of various activities and services of mutual benefit.
